A permanent feature is our own supertight ‘house’-bateria, generally counting a small 25 to 30 ‘ritmistas’. Casa de Samba presents the most recent as well as classic sambas from the Rio de Janeiro carnival. Both the song and the arrangement for the bateria –in which the pulsing sound of the samba’s characteristic heartbeat-rhythm is varied with impressive rhythmic arrangements- are a truly cool experience. The bateria of Casa de Samba only plays samba in real Carioca-style with the real arrangements of various sambaschools from Rio de Janeiro!!!
